SO everyone always says honda motors are strong.
I'm not sure where it's supposed to go because I didn't see a Misc section, but I have pics, so I thought the thread would be good here
These were taken from my winter car, an 89 honda civic LX, 1.5L 16 v SOHC. Car had 156,000 miles on it (paid $600 for it) and never showed any problems. I'm not sure if it was a lack of oil or what , but here's what happens when you bounce one of these motors off their 7,000 rpm rev limiter hard. I hit some dirt and she started climbing. In the civic usually a gear change (5spd) would stop the tires burning so I put it into 2nd gear, but she still hit 7 k, and this is what happened.

Yeah. I'll prolly get another beater w/ a auto this time. I got into some trouble w/ the civic. Like powersliding a whole 1/4 Mile down an empty road the one day after it snowed
I believe that motor in my car was a D15B2 or something like that. I had a line on a $50 motor but who knows how long it would have lasted. So I parted some of the parts out
