It was interesting how long it took the jet to overtake the bike. But I wasn't expecting the Porsche to blow past the bike as fast as it did toward the end.

Nope , the jet went into after burner plus a jet is going to kill any vehicle once it gets going...

The Jet probably did'nt 'ENGAGE" after burner, but the jet would be leaving the ground between 180-200 mph, around the top speed of the bike, that probably already let off.

The bike let off, because the car would have NEVER passed it that fast.

I have no doubt that the jet would overtake the bike, and I expected it to be in the air by that time, but the Porsche passing the bike is what makes me think the bike let off.

BTW the pilot can hold the plane down much longer than take off speed with flaps.

And consequently lose speed.

Yes, they can, but they can also run out of runway. I was just saying, (180-200 mph) is average takeoff speed.

I am stationed at China Lake, CA VX-31 weapons test squadron. (F/A-18 A-F, AV-8B, T-39) and numerous helo's. I am definitely aware of what jets can do. Awesome video none the less.

I was talking to camaro98z28. Of course they aren't going to gain a lot of speed with added drag of aiming the plane at the pavement but 10-20mph faster than the bikes max will catch it fairly quickly.

Yes. It would have a similar effect to landing.

That is an awesome video. Now I want a ZX-10r. Or a fighter jet.

In conclusion, the jet has a decent pull up top.
