I have seen that guy a few times. He drives the hell out of that car. He was the quickest car at the track both times I saw him. He would run pretty tame the first couple laps to get a good time, then push the car very hard at the end to see just what the car would do.

That's what happens when you spend all of your money on the motor first and have nothing left for suspension/brakes/wheels/tires. The majority of cars on this site are just like that. It's only funny cuz it's a 'stang.
What's stupid is to keep pushing it after you've figured out that you shoulda stayed home.

the majority of car's on this website wont even try to do AutoX.....we all know that these car's shine in straight lines....not twisties. and for the few that do actually AutoX, they know to spend money on the suspension instead of the motor, go look over in the AutoX section and see whats descussed over there.

F bodies are just fine to Autox with stock suspension on them. I did run stock suspension for awhile, ended up changing all of it to aftermarket cause i wanted to turn better but stock is alright.
AutoX is alot more driver than car.
That stang might have some setup problems an maybe need a driver mod.

that guy routinely tries too hard. After him and some viper d-bag, we've set some limits at our PCA autox, they are too great an insurance liability. That 5.0 is setup nicely(it does have suspension, and nice meaty slicks), but the driver has always seemed to be driven by ego, he's probably never heard of feather the throttle.
While it's one of the fastest autox's ive seen (you can top 105 if you do it right), he should really take it to a road race track, more chances to open it up and more forgiving.

That thing has way too much body roll and spring action for the motor he's got. And as someone else said, 4th gens are great stock for AutoX. When you get into trouble is when you mod the motor without upping the rest of the car to handle it--same with Mustangs.

maybe somethings broke its hard to believe that he couldnt regain control of his car it seemed he was even letting off the throttle in some of those last spin outs, car sounded good though as everyone stated
