Default tsp 233/239 vs. fm13 part two, real close...(video)

part two of me and my friends little battle. real close again with me getting the better reaction time but like always he catches up in the end. just goes to show you that a bigger cam and bigger stall dont always add up to bigger numbers and better times. also, in vegas we have a real high da and thats why the times seem so slow for two cammed ls1's, the red car ran 12.2's in north carolina BEFORE cam just for reference. let me know what you think, it was a great race.

switch to windows media player!!

thanks. when we(me and the redcamaro) picked our cams i thought id be the one doing the catching up but its the other way around. im kinda dissapointed that he put down bigger numbers and runs a better 1/4 with a smaller cam and stall(3600). of course he has a few more mods than me but as far as power mods goes we're neck and neck yet he traps 1.5 more mph.

It is the area under the curve and Futral stuff makes big torque numbers.

"Jesus christ it took you two forever to stage"

i stalled you couldnt tell!!my tuner needs some more time with the car because i stall after quick blips of the throttle and ive got surging issues.

"It is the area under the curve and Futral stuff makes big torque numbers."

Exactly. i bought my cam a little prematurely and if i would have known better i would have bought something a little less peaky and on a lower lsa say like a 112. Im going with some 3.73's next month though and that should help put me in my powerband more. Im only around 4500 rpm through the traps, not where I want to be.

My friends car with the fm13 has some weight reduction done(very little) and more suspension work then me. Before we both did our cams he trapped over 1mph more than me and bettered my et by .15. If i wasnt so good with reaction time hed beat me all the way down the track.

Its vegas so both our times suck, on those runs i ran a 12.5@108.5 and he ran a 12.4@110, he got a 1.7 60 ft and me a 1.8. He beat me believe it or not by .0055 I know those times sound terrible and they are for two cammed ls1's, but come to vegas and watch as your solid 11 second ride cruises for a low 12 second pass as you scratch your head.

The more I see stuff like this, the more anxious it makes me. Waiting for parts is painful. I'll be running an F13 as well.

Nice run!

Great runs man, your guys cars are very close. How does your friend like his F13? I've had mine almost 2 yrs and I think its a awsome cam, only difference is Im on a 110LSA. Thinking I might go a lil bigger tho something in teh mid 230's with higher lift (630+).

As far as I know he really likes it. it makes great power everywhere. he did a lot of research before he made his decision and i think hes pleased with it. hes been having drivability problems with it though, but thats more in the tune then the cam.
