Finally Bathed my T/A
After a long awaited wash/clay bar/NXT spa treatment, my T/A is finally shiny again... a few pics...
I wish I had some "before" pics... it was shameful.
As you can see in the first pic, the paint on my hood is breaking down. I believe it is because the car is running lean and the underhood temps are so high, but I'm not certain. Has anyone else seen this before?
FWIW, I am, AM, getting injectors and a tune with my income tax return this year. I will see if that solves the problem and have the hood repainted then.
I know those aren't great pics, but the camera was a freebie, so they will do for now!

Nice car, look's good! I know this car has the potential to be a really fast car,
once you get your injectors. Let me know if i can help you with anything.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Your pal,
Jason

Thanks for the compliments.
I don't really like the clear side markers myself, I have managed to misplace the factory ones. I will be posting in the classifieds looking for stock ones soon! I would like to find some stock ones and black them out!
The paint on the hood is awful, I don't have a "good" picture of it, but it looks like cancer under the clearcoat.
I am running Eibach Pro-Kit springs front and rear, but the 9" raised the rear end up about a half inch. I like it with a little more rake anyway!
Thanks again for the compliments guys!
Merry Christmas to you too Jason. Can't wait to get the 'jectors and a tune!!! Maybe then I'll be fast as you!!!

The wheels are just factory stock, they have a few scratches here and there but overall they are in good shape for 105,000 miles!
The paint APPEARS to be breaking down from the inside out, ie. the clearcoat appears to be the last layer to begin breaking down.
I truly believe it is due to the high underhood temps, age and constant exposure (not having room for it in the garage) have all combined to kill it.
When I get bigger injectors and a tune I will do a trial paint job on the hood and make sure it isn't going to do the same thing and then I want to do something a little custom on the hood.
Thanks again for the complipments!
