Yea I watched that the other night, well all I could cause he just pisses me off. I would probally knock his *** out if I ever seen him out in person...2 or 3 times. Corvette is on leaf springs???? I don't think so, then test a V6 Mustang claiming its a GT, then said the GT500 was a S/C 4.6. Man's a dumbass to be claiming to be a auto specialist.

I dont see why people disagree with what he is saying. America's focal point is huge motors and straight line acceleration. How can you compare the likes of GM, Ford and Dodge vs Ferrari, Lambo, Porshe, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc... not even in the same class. Come on guys, leaf springs and pushrods. WOW !

Agree, they are not in the same class and built w/ different intentions in mind. I just think it's pointless for him trying to prove europe is better than America by comparing cars that are not even in the same class and not to mention his pathetic attempts to say America sucks

well you cant compare them..............they cost over 100k on most counts...least the nicer ones ie lambo and ferrari

the thing i love is that the people he makes the show for (the mr everyman uk) will end up with a ******* peugot or a french pos that will remain nameless

Yeah, we all know that GM and Ford have no way of competing with the likes of all those awesome european brands... Like the pushover new c6 zo6, that's a joke because it's got pushrods and leafsprings. Who cares if it's faster than 99% of all the other street legal cars on the road, not only in a straight line, but also around a track. It sucks cause I say it does...RUBBISH!!

Ford also didn't actually beat ferrari's *** consecutively in the 60's with the GT40, that was a fluke.

GM's racing program, because they use pushrods and ancient technology, even if they win 11/14 races in a season, it doesn't count, because they have no 'class' and use rubbish cars.

This show was as a Brit might say "pure rubbish" and the host was a complete "******".

If this guy thinks British engineers are so much better, explain those brilliant British pieces of **** MG and Triumphs. Does he realize his beloved jaguar is a Ford? I love the way he compares cars that are totally different in price range and class. Prime example: BMW M5 to a 300C SRT 8- That M5 costs what? 120,000 to the 40,000 chrysler.

His bitching about the noise of the Z06's tire noise was totally moronic. ITS A ******* SPORTS CAR not a Rolls Royce. Shame that Z06 can and has stomped nearly every European production car on the Nurburgring for a third of the price of the European car.

Comparing a 1500 Hemi Ram to an Aerial Atom on a road course? Thats fair because you know Dodge built their pick up truck for SCCA road racing.

This guy is a totally biased ***** who just needs to shove a crumpet in his mouth and shut the **** up

People who complain about price, most likely cant afford them. You can go to GMAC and get approved for a Z06/corvette with a 500+becon score, but you atleast need 700+for exotics. Have you heard of supply and demand? The reason why the majority of us cant afford them, well, is becuase there so few in production. Plus the majority of them are hand built/use better material/have more technological improvements.

Why are you bringing up races from 40-50 years ago?

Old technology or not, its works. The ZO6 and viper can beat cars that cost twice as much. You are always talking **** on american cars, you are just as ignorant as clarkson. Also if we only make straightline performance, then why have the vette and viper dominated the ALMS? I dare you to take your car to a road course and try to corner with a vette or viper, then come tell us all how your car with better technology got its *** kicked by a pushrod motor that only good for ''straightline performance''. You knock domestics because of pushrods and leafsprings, but your car with superior technology cant beat domestics without the use of a turbo or blower? Come on 25, your ''high tech'', ''better designed'' car and you still get your *** kicked by domestics, WOW! Here, you can have these back.

i don't think a escalade should be climbing anything but the local mall parking garage's.. the range rover on the other hand.. they've been known to be the go anywhere suv's .. until the H1 came around.. Shame they didn't compare them.. the h1 would have probably just went straight up.. no road's necessary.. still fun to watch them pound on the car's..
