76 camaro restoration engine pics and idle vid
This is me and my dads project we started about 5 months ago. We got the engine rebuilt in and out. It's a 305 bored 30 over, with every thing possible remachined. Don't know details but I know he put a bigger cam and a Holley 870 CFM Four Barrel Carburetor. The Vid is a short idle clip just so you can hear her. Ill post pics along the way we are going to start body work in the next couple of months. It's hard being a full time college student and restoring a car at the same time but I'll gie it a try.

Why even mess with a 305? You could find a 350 for dirt cheap and bore it to a 355. On top of that, there are endless performance combos for 350's that will give you alot of power for your money. Heck, you could buy a brand new 350 crate motor longblock for $1300 from GM. Anyways, I really like your Camaro because 2nd gens will always be special to me. My first car was a 1978 Camaro Z28 clone/mod. I still have it today. Here it is:

My first car was a 6 year old red '76 Camaro with a 305 two barrel. Got it up to 125 mph the first night I had it lol. Built a mild 350 in my highschool autoshop, then the next weekend my girlfriend wrecked it. I've had much faster cars since then, but I've never has as much fun as I did with the '76.
