An afternoon of me and my camera...
I very rarely shoot things besides cars, but today I wanted to try a few things. I included some car shots too but I think some of these others came out OK. I'm my own worst critic sometimes so I'll throw my two cents in on these shots too.
All shots were between 3pm-4pm, so the lighting wasn't the best, but I tried to pull a few tricks and make the most of the timeframe I had to work with.
All shots were also with my Nikon D80 with the Nikkor AF-S 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 DX lens and handheld.
Both beasts (haha, was just snapping a picture on this one on my way back from some of the shots below, it doesn't really count, the Neon is very elusive to film, its my to-and-from work vehicle):
1 - Not even a real shot
The GTO:
2 - I think I could have gotten a better angle on the car here
Urban wildlife:
3 - I like this shot
4 - Eh, nothing special
5 - I think this is a really good shot, good perspective, might go back and try to recreate this when they didn't just cut the grass
Lomo effect:
6 - Eh, nice and sharp but nothing special
Macro flower shots:
7 - I like the symbolism of it dying but I couldn't get the shot I wanted
8 - It's ok, good detail but the white is kind of dull
9 - Great color saturation and its sharp with a good depth of field, but still nothing special
10 - I love this one, between this one and #5 I think they are the two best shots I took today by a LONG shot
Thanks for any comments or constructive criticism.

I dont shoot people that much. I guess I need to work on that. I do have some pics of my girlfriend but... eh... not exactly work safe and those kind of pics of her are for me only. I might see what I can do for some regular pics of some girls here soon though.

Its something abundant around here to shoot. I dont exactly have a large zoom lens to shoot wildlife/nature shots and there are actually alot of people who are very avid enthusiasts of pictures of flowers. Is it my cup of tea? Not really. But I wanted to shoot something besides a car for some of the people who shoot flowers all the time to critique so it works in that regard. Its not like I'm converting from car to flower photography. Just what there was to shoot within a 1 mile walking distance around my place.
