Default Kenne Bell GT VS cam/spray LS1

Vid of me running a Kenne Bell GT with a built motor and 10-12lbs of boost. First 2 runs were on motor, and the last one was with 175 shot, just for the hell of it.

Question

Nice kill but you would usaully hear the whine of the blower?

Yea, Im not sure why his was so quiet. It's only like a 1.8L or somthing like that, but it was definatley under there.

damn thats pitiful.. looks like he will have to turn it up to 20 lbs and then maybe he could hang with you until his weak rear end shatters into pieces..

Weak rear end? Geez, the 8.8" would own a 10-bolt I'm sure. I mean, I know that your car doesn't have one, but ls1tech.com should be renamed 10boltssuck.com. We have no right to razz GTs about their rear ends.

Those 2V motors just aren't worth the effort.

that was a pretty stupid comment, just so you know for future reference 8.8 Rear>10 Bolt and also to the original poster: I call BS on the stang having a KB.....if it did, it would have had a 1.7L blower and on only 9lbs they make 430+ hp to the wheels w/ 420+ tq, You said he was running 10-12?......he would have made more power than your 410hp and 387tq and even if for some reason you still would have gotten him, a Kenne Bell GT would have been MUCH closer when you raced him all motor.....you pulled away from him pretty hard......here's some articles from Kennebells website to back up the facts.....

Then yes it was a 1.7L, I saw the blower myself. The car was built by JMS over in Alabama. He said it dynod 440, and 420tq. You should know a blower wont make power like an NA car will..

hmm...well you should know a twin screw type blower blower will have power come on VERY EARLY in the RPM range just like NA, and you were roll racing so from the RPM's he was leaving he would have been making more torque and power than you.....maybe you are thinking of a centrifugal type blower anyways I am still saying BS, you would have AT LEAST heard the blower whine for a second at 10-12lbs of boost but all I heard was you pulling away from what sounds like a bolt on high 13 sec GT

I would have pulled a bolt-on high 13 GT a lot harder then that..

Yeah, a high 13 second Gt vs. a 410+hp TA...do us a favor and sell your Z28 and buy another GT. You could barely hear the whine, but heck he has true duals and a cam, that might drown out the blower noise. Good kill man

my friend has a skittle and he beat one of my buddies with a kenne bell gt the srt only has 300 hp so im sure a 410hp trans am would smash a kenne bell gt.mustangs always need more power to beat lsx's
