Default Coupla Compton races

1968 Camaro stroked BBC mid 8's on the motor, (7's on the unit which is not hooked up right now.) vs. a 1980's ElCo w/ a stroker and 3 stages.
Vid says the Camaro gave 2 and the go. It was actually 3 and the go. Camaro did win BTW. He got outta the hole in BAD shape, almost hit the center devider then pulled it together and reeled in the ElCo like a ****!!!

2003 Pulley, exhaust, ported blower, intake, tire tune Cobra Vs. Chevy love truck SBC on a healthy unit.

Manny's Cobra. Yeah he is famous for "taking" the hit. hahaha

Actually if you watch the tape he leaves right on time, the truck slept.

nice vids...do the cops bust these races often? i would have figured most races would be in an empty industrial park, not right out in the open on city streets.

That kinda depends on the night to tell you the truth. These races are setup elsewhere then they ran in race and leave ASAP. They seasoned veterans, no burning the spot. I have heard of cars get shot at for doing dumb ****!!! (doughnuts, dummy passes up and down the track, bumping load *** music, scraping trucks, hydrolyic bounces down the stret, etc.)

Just curious... I'm sure they're probably done, but I drove through there a few months ago on the way to Portland and it didn't seem super populated... They still run the Fontana races off of Miliken (meets at the TA)? Some freakin meeeeeeeeeeemories there. Used to hit them most weekends when I lived in Claremont. I remember cops started laying in REALLY heavy on that place in '90-'91 (DATING MYSELF obviously)... Towards the end it was just as spoke. Negotiate, unload, run and leave... No other way without getting swarmed. I got pulled over on the OFF RAMP for simply driving a '70 Cuda... Now they're all at Barrett/Jackson!!! Hahahaha! I remember Compton and Anaheim too. Good times for sure. Awesome races BTW!
