well, after a long hard day, it seems I was to shoot from a spectator spot. This is the angle you see as I peer over heads. My options were to wind up with a mideochre piece after all my expenses or sneak off in the woods after the sun went down and get some better shots. Cost me an eye for an evening but, again, was worth it. There are the close drive-bys you see. While I was repremanded by rally america after they saw it, Team Monster now wants me to do some vids for em.
worked out fine.

hell yeah it is. I have been searching for a rally car I can afford since that day and I will certainly be entered next year. I'm an old dirtbike kid and to me, this was riding again in the safety of a cage.
I have found a few gems I could afford but then I have not been able to afford getting them to stl.
I'll stumble onto something soon...

Ken Block, guy is crazy. He is the one on Stunt Junkies that jumped the car 171 Feet and took his car on a Ski Slope.

COOL!!!
I've worked/marshalled at the Maine Winter Forest Rally in conditions even worse than that!!
It's sweet seeing skilled teams sideways at 70 mph with four big rooster tails of ice and snow shooting up as they go by live and in person!!
I remember having to let the 'press pass' people into areas that I would NEVER go/stand, and would NEVER let spectators stay.
I mean some of these dudes were setting up tripods/videos EXACTLY where the cars would 'go off'!!!
I guess one MUST take risks to get the good shots/footage.

Grinner thanks so much for that vid. Rallying has always been my fav auto sports ever since I was a kid. I have had a chance to be feet away from WRC cars which got me hooked. Up until now I have always watched but never really been active
A few weeks ago I met Mark who is the guy behind the red Mustang and expressed my interest in rallying. He offered some info and Im sure Im going to get into it. Probably start with rally cross.
I plan to attend most of the local rally events up here in MN. Keep the vids coming

they dominate the sport right now.
at least till I put a modded smartcar out there
lol
Ken Block was cool. Laid back dude and we have a lot in common from being old dirtbike kids to current day adrenaline junkies. Wasn't ahrd to strike up a good conversation with him.
Pastrana was unreachable that day. I think he thinks he's a celebrity.
