caught this over on Turbomustangs forum...

borg warner turbo with a decent amount of boost.

ls6 cam and springs/retainers are the only things changed that's it!!!!

it's just so awesome to see people pushing the envelope on stock blocks we'll see how long it lasts but i know i'm going to push my turbo lq4 a little harder now when it's done hahaha

Are the pistons any better than the ones in the LS1? Cause I know the LS1s start popping at like 550whp

^^^ Don't believe so. If it was a LQ4 the lowered compression ratio might have helped.

LQ4= 9.4:1
LQ9= 10.1:1

nope it's an LQ9, but i personally have the LQ4 which is why i'm stoked.

honestly i think a lot of it has to do with keeping the iat's cool as hell and they seem to have a good tune.

again, i'm going to keep an eye on how long it lasts and track times and all that. i'll post back with all that as i see it. WOOHOOO!

Wow I just noticed they only ran it to 5800rpm. Imagine what they could do with a L92/L76 topend and a mild turbo cam. W/ less boost of course, they would be able to hold power longer then just a narrow 2500rpms
