Need help with Mike Kennedy in Maine, aka 2000 B4C, aka bottlefed B4C Sent him a check for $480 for a hood. His pm says it cleared on 6/6. Here are some of his pm's to me.

I have also sent him an email that he has not responded to telling him I want to work this out. So at this point, he has my money and hood, yet wants more money? First contact was made nearly a month ago, so needless to say, I have lost all my patience. I paid $400 for a hood that costs less than that new, but I wanted it white, so I was willing. Then I added $80 for shipping which he agreed to.
This is the worst communication from a seller that I have had. If anyone knows him, tell him to check his email and pm's. I sent him my phone number and want to talk about this and get it taken care of.

Payment for the hood cleared from my bank on monday, So we are good to go there.
I got an estimate last week for the shipping and it was going to be $125, I was going to bite the bullet on that one, but when I got there... they were going to charge me $286.96... I cannot affford to do that alone. I am going to check a few other places around here. What I need to know is if I cant find any cheaper places would you be willing to pay more for shipping?
I am very sorry for this inconveniance... I have never run into this problem before.

I have sent that guy 2 emails requesting a quote for shipping, and have received nothing back... Maybe your buddy could email him and ask him for a quote...
From my zip of 04011... If he can get it cheap, I will build the box and take it to a terminal...
To be honest with you I really do not want to spend $300 to ship it... As I am sure you do not.

Come on guys don't post something for sale unless you are truly ready to handle the situation. I just sold a set of wheels & tires that I went ahead and sold for $800 SHIPPED. After packaging and shipping was all taken care of I made a whopping $600. It was a learning experience for me and I kept it that way. Don't break deals with buyers because of your lack of being prepared to sell.

Sent him another email today asking for some sort of response. I even said I will send more money, but not until after I get my own shipping estimate and have received the hood. Sounds like the fairest plan to me.

Yep, I did a search trying to track him to any sites he frequents. I saw he hasn't been on your site for a while. This is exactly why I won't send him more money without the hood.

What the hell????? if a seller and buyer agree on a price, and a shipping cost, then that's what it needs to be, bottom line. Derek sent the money as agreed and now he has jack ****?? I've been through this same damn thing before when shipping ended up being more than agreed upon... as a seller you should not agree to a price until you are FOR SURE that's what it's going to be and if it's NOT that price then you need to own up to it and take care of it.
At the very least, refund the money altogether to Derek and go on.

just an update. He contacted me 7/18 and was apologizing for everything that happed. He had a story to give me, and that is fine, I did not question it.
So I get him a new shipping quote to use. I sent it to him and now have not heard back again. He has not been on since 7/27. Very frustrating after having a glimmer of hope.
