Default Justin99TA won't pay back my money

by Justin99TA

Short version: I sent Justin99TA money for an eBay auction I won. He never sent me the auction item (transmission) and has failed to refund my money (which we agreed upon), even after a PayPal dispute had to be opened, processed and closed. I would be careful doing business with him.

98-02 Camaro/Firebird Automatic Transmission 4L60E
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160105444347

04/13/2007 - I won auction # 160105444347 for $212.50+$80=$292.50
04/13/2007 - I send immediate payment to Justin99TA via PayPal

05/01/2007 - Justin99TA tells me to watch for it via UPS Freight

05/07/2007 - Justin99TA says his father shipped; will get tracking #

05/14/2007 - Justin99TA says an employee didn't get it shipped out

05/22/2007 - Justin99TA says shipping was attempted, but too expensive
- Justin99TA suggests that he will just send my money back

05/26/2007 - I open a case with PayPal since I'm not getting refunded

06/04/2007 - Justin99TA says he won't have the money until the 15th

06/14/2007 - On PayPal' advice, I escalate before the case closes

06/24/2007 - PayPal gives me a partial refund at the close of the case
- Justin99TA contacted by PayPal about the rest of the money

Over 2 months since the close of the auction.
Over 1 month since he said he will refund my $.
I'm still waiting on the remaining $$ from Justin.

In the short version: eBay transactions have no room on 1tech unless the part was purchased through our forum and it was on eBay.

Search his posts on here, he's still trying to sell the tranny.
Although with my money he's keeping, you'd think he could
offset the cost of shipping for someone else...

I believe it's allowed as long as it's stated. The seller is still a member here. A crook is a crook.

3-1/2 months and he still owes me some money.
Man, Justin really prefers to take the cash and run!

I send PMs, emails and now I'm trying a PayPal invoice.

Hey OP, how is your paypal account setup? Do you have a credit card linked in it as primary funding or is your checking account primary funding? If you used a credit card and file a chargeback, you'll get you're money back.

Checking account. Although the transaction was awhile ago now.
I got most of my money back from PayPal, but there's $92 left that
would be nice to get back.
