Yeh, PayPal is a complete joke. I got taken by a scammer or idiot whatever he is. See Craig Payne thread. PayPal cannot do anything since he has no money in his account. But my CC is refunding me the money.

so if you have a bank account attached but pay with credit card are you still okay? I paid with credit card and the guy I bought stuff from hasnt' replied in a few days luckily I paid with credit card. Should I contact my credit card company right away or wait until paypal lets me escalate it to a "claim."

Yes always make sure you use your credit card to pay for it with paypal. Don't let paypal use your checking account.

Arrow Yep, use the credit card, not the bank.

Check out your own PayPal account, but mine always wants to use my bank as the primary source of funds, and I ALWAYS change it to the credit card. If anyone can tell me how to make the CC the primary source, I would be very appreciative .

yea same here got screwed. But they will take funds even if they are at $0.00. It happend to me they put you at neg funds and after a year you will get a collection notice(atleast i did). So even if you says screw it I won't use paypal, keep the neg balance they still can find you.

Paypal = BULLSHIT.

I got screwed two weeks ago filed a dispute and today I escalated it to a claim. $350, here's a copy of the paypal instructions after filing the cliam, read this bullshit :

" By escalating your dispute to a claim, you're asking PayPal to review the case and decide the outcome.Our records indicate that you opened this dispute within the last three days. You may wish to postpone escalating to a claim in order to give the seller time to respond. The majority of sellers want their customers to be satisfied and welcome the opportunity to work out disputes amicably.PayPal will review your communication with the seller and may contact you for additional information. We'll make every effort to reach a decision within 30 days.If this claim is decided in your favor, we can't guarantee a refund. However, we'll make every effort to recover the funds from the seller."

Paypal USED to back up it's buyers, nowadays it's one ******* bullshit. Period.

So for over a year I just siad f*ck it, till i got an email of collection form them. Later I put a post on CamaroZ28.com and a member found out he installed it and couldn't get it to work with a factory radio and just wanted to get his money back.

I'm a member of the Avalanche forum, too. Was this ever resolved? He's still on there but all the threads relating to his scamming are gone.

Google purchase system. They are now up and running without the 3% fees and mis-managed issues PayPal has always had.
