Hey people, new to this forum, and as such, I'm starting with the same questions one would expect from a newbie . I've installed an SLP lid, hooker long tubes, ORY, and a magnaflow catback. While I can certainly feel a performance increase over the stock parts, I'd be interested in knowing what kind of gains I'd see on a dyno. I've seen claims that might lead me to believe I gained 60hp ( I can't believe that). Add up gains SLP claims and you'd arrive at 60 additional HP with their parts. Also, I am almost certain I got more gain from the lid than the headers, which also doesn't seem right. Or does it?

if you think you've gained 60 hp, i have a bridge I wanna sell ya real cheap.
on a dyno more than likely you see about 30-40 hp gain with tuning.

AHHHHHH, no way the lid made more then full exhaust. I felt nothing with a lid and filter and got pissed when I had to pull out the k&n @ the track to gain a tenth(9.1 @ 82 down to 8.999 @ 83. Now, the long tubes ORY and loud mouth were so damn loud over stock that, I thought I had a prostock beast but I did lose 7 tenths and gained 3 mph in the 1/8th
I would say you picked up 25-30 @ the wheels max.

30-40 rwhp sounds about right. i pretty much got the same set up for now, no numbers though.

also slp's claims are lofty to say the least. dont do the ricer move and add up the numbers on the side of the box.
