Hi, I was just curious if any of you LS1 owners out there have any engines with higher mileage on them? I know these are performance motors and was just interested in how many miles you can get on one of these, thanks.

FYI I have a 99 TA and its got 84,000 on it. Still runs strong as hell..

As long as you maintain it pretty good and not too hard on it, it should last a really long time.

great thanks for the info, that's a lot of miles on that 99 Vette, wow! I hope with regular oil changes and all that I can get around 150,000 on it.

there was the same question posted awhile back. Alot of guys were well ever 100,000 miles, some even spraying 100 shots on the stock motor. Others with big cams and ported heads on the stock bottom end in the 120-150,000 mile or more range. The LS1 is a hell of a motor!

I was interested in this topic as well, there are a few high mileage cars I've been looking at buying just because they are so much of a discount. So far I've personally found these engines run just as strong at 100k miles as they do at 40k. My old formula ws6 had 60ksomeodd miles and you'd never know it.

Just today I drove a M6 WS6 with 91k, and it was one of the stronger I've driven(and I've driven a couple dozen in the past weeks). As long as the drivetrains and suspension setups are maintained on the LS1 series of cars....they last quite a while.

Props for that guy with 300k+, thats a hell of a lot of driving!!!

I've got 77k on my Formula, and it still runs like it's brand new. Lots of life left in this baby.

I've got over 140k on mine. 120 was by the highway patrol so I assume it hasn't had the easiest life. It doesn't burn any oil or leak anything. And I haven't had a single problem in the year I've owned it.

i've got 96.6k miles on my 98z28. bought it with 93k miles. no problems and its takin well to my mods; except my cam install with i fucked up a litltle but that has nothing to do with the mileage.

these motors are built strong, you have nothing to worry about. just keep the maintenance on the car and don't beat up on it too much, I mean if you dog the hell out of it it will eventually give up.
