Default slp cold air kit vs slp ram air kit

What is the differenece in going with a lid and cold air kit like this one:
http://www.pfyc.com/pc/FB3009/FBUNDE...r+Package.html
versus a cold air kit like this: http://www.pfyc.com/pc/FB3017/FBUNDE...m+Air+Kit.html

its about 100 dollars difference, but am i really gaining anything more from one or the other?

and what are some other companies to suggest?

I think the lid and Cold air are worth it. I wouldn't spend the extra $250 on making the hood functional!

I dont really know of any one else that makes a Cold air intake for the LS1 F-bodys. I like the SLP one. The only thing I didnt like was putting in the cold air intake. It was kinda a pain, but you only have to do it once.

am i really gaining much by spending the extra money on a cold air kit, or does a LID do enough, what are the power differences between these too?

Fast Toys Performance also has some stuff.. They have larger diameter lids, depending on your needs..
