German Castrol 0w-30

It's just a very high quality oil. Me personally, I drive 150 miles a day every weekday, and probably another 100+ every weekend...so figure I drive the car 850 miles a week...changing my oil every 3K would mean changing the oil more than once a month (every 3 and a halfish weeks)...that'd drive me absolutely insane. I've personally had excellent luck with the German Castrol not breaking down much at all, and I actually go almost 12K miles between changes (when the light on the dash comes on, I listen to it and change it). I've sent it out for analysis a couple times, and the results have come back saying the oil was still doing quite well, and that my engine is also quite healthy (oil not broken down much, not a lot of contamination in it, not a lot of signs of engine wear)...so that gets me back to an almost normal 3 month oil change time. Even though it's expensive oil (maybe like 1.5x a normal oil change) I am changing it 3x less often than I'd be changing an oil that'd break down faster, so it still saves me money...

Did you look with the regular Castrol Syntec? They don't put it seperately on the shelf, just find all the Syntec, and then take a look at the back of a bottle of 0W-30.
Where do you live, maybe we can help better. I've found it in pretty much every AutoZone I've been to...I've never seen it anywhere else.

There are more threads on this. After reading them I went to AutoZone and found the 0w-30 but they don't say made in germany in the back label, They do say European Formula though in the front label. Is it the same one even though it doesn't say made in Germay on the back?

dont bother asking the people that work there, 90% of the people that work at these places havent the slightest clue about cars, they go by what the screen says. then there is the 9% that dont even speak fluent english...
just go to the oil section and pick up the syntech that says 0-30 and look to see if it was made in germany.

I went through 3 different Autozones a few months ago, 2 of them had the price tag thing but they were out of stock and the last one was $8/qt...
Last time I went to Pepboys, I saw they had GC as well.
Just look for the Made in Germany on the back.
