Default what's this piece?

stupid question but what's the little plastic box laying by the rear quarter panel? does it have anything to do with the alarm or is it strictly for the speakers? and what about that sensor that's wrapped in the foam? my radio is out and i wanted to pull all the wiring associated with it. thanks guys

Mine has a similiar box in the pass quarter that appears to be the vibration sensor for the factory alarm.

i do too on the passenger side but this is the driver's side. most of the writing is scratched off but says something like "output" or "input" so i'm guessing it's only audio related?

i did have a monsoon system but no 12 disc cd changer, maybe the previous owner took it out. i'm leaning towards this being stricly for audio

FYI - the wiring harness for the 12-disc CD changer is in all Camaros, including the wires extending back to the left rear of the vehicle regardless of whether or not one was installed from the factory.
