in search of 11's N/A
Ok, so im new to the ls1 game. Just about a month and a half ago, i purchased a ls1 longblock out of a 2002 T/A with a broken head bolt for cheap
I stripped the engine bay in my 96 v6 mustang and then just sat on the idea for the past month.
well tis past week, i came across a complete ls1 out of an 02 T/A as well, with wiring and computer too.
for $1,100!!
60k miles
as figured, it has a ls6 intake and when i brought it home i searched the block number and found it to be an ls6 block!!
so now to my question, im looking for low 11's on motor and mid 10's on a 150 shot of juice.
is this attainable?
my planned mod list:
1 3/4 351 swap LT's
ls6 intake (obviously)
ported TB
4.10's
cam
stall
weight reduction
sticky tires
aftermarket rear control arms
so is this good enough? im guessing the car will weigh in at around 3200-3300
it wont be exactly a daily, but i do want it to be reliable on the street..
for cam and stall, i was thinking in the lines of a Trex and a 4000 stall
but i know there must be better options
on a side note, i was able to modify the stock 3.8 mounts to work with the ls1. just need some minor adjusments for alignment

trust me, im thinking about it real hard on the heads lol
id basically have a complete ls6 except for cam right?
what are reasonable power expectancies for my list of mods, without heads? im looking for at least 420hp at the wheels
