Looking at your mods, LS6 intake is out the window right away as "the most gain".

But headers vs gears gain depends on three things:

- What gears you have now (2.73 vs 3.23)
- What tires you'll be racing on
- What sort of 1/4 gains are you looking for most (ET reduction or trap speed increase)

Why would you throw the LS6 out the window?

Because, his question was this:

And looking at his sig, it's a stock car with only very basic bolt-ons. In that application, an LS6 intake will probably show near zero gains at the track, and certainly MUCH less gains than headers or gears.

long tubes win.

I don't see tire listed and without that the gears may hurt you more than they help.

forget the mods you have listed and get yourself a yank ss3600 stall converter. thats the most bang for your buck in an a4.

A converter will gain you the most performance gain of any other mod, WAY more than any mod you listed. And won't be that much more.
If you don't do a converter, IMO, you are wasting your time.
I personally don't care for Yank too much... My favorite is PTC with VIG being a close second.

LTs: 300 (if you go with the cheapest they have)
ORY: 120
Vette o2: 100 (or o2 extensions which I dont recommend) 50 IIRC
cutout: 30+welding

Pick up a used converter either brand new in the box or used for 1000 miles or something similar: 500
transmission cooler: 60

You will pick up maybe mabe .3 with LTs/ORY
You will pick up a minimum of .5 with a decent converter.. Depending on the size you could knock off almost a full second.

For the money and/or performance gain nothing competes with an A4.

I dont know much about stalls since I have an m6, but I can tell you, you want a stall.

My buddy and I have nearly identical mods.... he has a stock auto trans, i got my M6 with short throw shifter. I run 12.7@108 best, vs his low 13's@10X (cant recall exact time, but its def in the 13's). You be the judge on why I am faster.

Stall for sure

And I have had 2 Yanks on a LS car and a Vig on my old LT car and Yank ROCKS but there are other good vertors out there. There are some shitty ones too so just do your research......

In that case, do LTs. 3.73s + those tires won't give you much gain at all, at the track. Plus, if you plan on a stall later anyway, I'd just keep the 3.23s.

Depends on how much he DD the car and how big of a converter he goes with. A lot of people wouldn't like a 4000 with 3.23s, it doesn't both me however.

Drag radials would be my first mod. Even if it is an extra set of rims with radials on it. If you don't have traction power means nothing.

4000 stall + 3.23s is totally streetable, IMO. Any real man can handle that easily.

I agree, you know how those sissy boys can be though.

I did a 4400 and 323s for around 5 months every single day.
