Default SLP Powerflo Catback/SES Light

I bought a SLP Powerflow exhaust system. I put about 50-100 miles on it and then my SES (service engine soon) light started to come on. It goes out form time to time but always comes back on. I replaced the plugs and wires and it is still on. I bought a code scanner and ran the test. It told me that i am running rich on the left and right banks. I have noticed a drop in fuel mileage also.

Does any one have a suggestion as to what they feel could be the issue? I opted not to have the systems welded up becuase i wasnt sure if i would love or hate the system and i wanted it to be removable and re-sellable if i didnt like it. Other than the exhaust, clutch and a cold air intake the car is all stock.

Any ideas on what could be wrong? How do i "fatten" it up? Could it be an exhaust leak do to not being welded? Could it be that the O2 sensors need to be replaced?

Thanks,

Kevin

If you could tell us the code it would be more helpful. On a side note have you recently put headers on or did you delete the cats?

Changing the catback alone would not cause you to toss a rich or lean DTC. You could run an open Y-pipe and not get those codes.

Like mentioned above, can you tell us the exact code?

My best guess is your o2's are bad.

P0172 - Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 1

and

The car is completley stock with only a cold air intake and SLP prowerflow exhaust. No heads and cam YET.
