Question Not a newbie yet, but...

Goin tomorrow to look at some Camaros and Firebirds. I met someone today who has a roommate selling an older model Firebird, 80's he thinks.

It needs some work, but he says that the roommate is selling it for only a few hundred bucks. Would an 80's model Firebird be able to support an LS-1?

If it would need modifications to the transmission, or axle, or even replacement... how much do you think that would run me? And is it even worth the trouble?

Thanks

Default

worth the trouble? depends on what you want? if you want a mustang...with an LS1 it can be done! if you like the 3rd gens go for it! just be careful not to get into more than you want! with body work...interior...all that!

do some reading in the conversions/hybrid section... i know theres tons of info on stuffing an LSX into a 3rd gen, i might have seen it in a few popular magazines!
