Default headers

im int he market for headers for my 2002 ws6. i want to pass smog still. are the bbk shorty headers (chrome) worth it to buy n install on my car? i also like them because i like the fact that i dont have to touch the stock cats, its a direct bolt on. i understand that longtubes give the most power but they dont pass smog. need opinions.

If you are spending the money, I would go with a LT header and put a catted-y pipe on it. That will give you the performance and more than likely have about the same money in it. We can get you a set of Pacesetter headers pretty reasonable depending what your budget is. Let us know if we can help!

Thanks!

^x2 the gains from shorties are so minimal compared to long tubes you'll always be regretting it.

I'm in cali so I have to deal with smog as well, but I'll either pay to pass or throw my stock stuff back on if I can't find anywhere to get it passed.

If you want performance while still being 100% cali smog legal, I'd save up for a D1SC. Just my 2 cents.
