Question Quick gauge cluster question

Will a 98 TA gauge cluster fit a 98 z28?

It has the same part number. . . Looks identical, except for the overlay. . .

Yeah it should be interchangeable. I've seen some cars with it done.

The last 2 did not work worth a crap. I got 2 99's, a guy on eBay kept sending me the wrong year.

Yes it will fit. Just the inserts are different.

Yes they will fit for sure. We did it on my buddies to keep the miles appearing low on his so it was still under waranty. So I know for sure this does work.

Just got done with the swap. . . . .


Alright, this is what I found.

1.The gauges fit just fine straight across. The TA gauges are just not pretty looking, the needles are orange and the read out looks kinda lame + the lighting is redish.

2. The mileage is kept in the actual LCD display piece and they are interchangeable.

3. The plastic bezel is not easily interchangeable between the TA and the Camaro, they are a bit different.


Good info, all learned the hard way.
