Default Weight to Horsepower

Wasn't sure where to post this so hope this is OK.
It all started by taking the box out for my subs , The car seems so much quicker .I weighed the box , only 25 pounds .
Now at some time in my life I had seen a graph that showed how meny pounds off equal 1 horsepower , or a tenth second on ET.
I can't find this anywhere .
The question is : Can taking off 25 lbs make an actual noticable difference in seat of the pants accelaration ?

100 lbs = 10 hp = .1 second in the quarter mile. Roughly. So no, you really wont notice 25 lbs. Unless you're a little sensitive.

25lbs is nothing. You'll have about 4-5 times that much weight variance just by having an empty vs full tank of gas.

Default Thanks!

Thanks guys ! I knew I could rely on you .
When I was trying to search for the formula I came across the threads of guys trashing the AC , backseat and other stuff . I took out my backseat to do the stereo . I was surprised how light it was .
It seems to me Chevy has done pretty good keeping the weight down .
Back in the day it seemed like the backseat weighed a 100 pounds ! lol
