Default Is it my rear end?

if im taking a turn at low speed i hear a clicking noise coming from the back of my my car, i didnt think it was a big deal cause i herd that noise ever since i bought the car, ive had my car for two and a half years now and someone told me today that noise means my rear end is going bad. Is it true?

is it the stock rear end in the car? whenever someone says clicking when turning i think of a spool rear.

That noise is normal for the '99+ Torsen style rears. Whoever told you the rear was failing is probably used to Auburn style rears, which don't chatter like that unless something is wrong. The '98s had an Auburn style, and mine is totally quiet; however, I've owned 3 different '99+ cars and they ALL made that noise you describe (two of them I bought brand new, and they did it from day one, and my '02 has been doing it for all 30k miles that I've owned it....never gotten any better or worse).

If the chatter is audiable at low speed turing only, I would not worry one bit.

I hear the same thing in my brand new rebuilt 4.10. But I don't seem to hear it when I'm driving. I only hear it when I pull in my drive way while in neutral.
