Dont waste your mney on an LS6 cam swap. Call any vendors on here and they will say the same thing. Go with a 224 cam from thunder racing or texas speed if you want something smaller.

224 is on the small side but they run awesome. If you want it to sound stock get one ground on a 114LSA on higher if possible and you wont even know you have a cam until you nail it, you also wont have any lope to it if its on a high LSA(most of the time)

id go with a texas speed cam but in all honesty in a car like a 55 chevy your prlly gonna need more power down low. I can see much much much better results from a custom ground cam for your setup. Contact Texas Speed or another vendor and get a couple places to spec a cam for you. Tell them exactly what you want and expect out of it. You cant go wrong trust me. off the shelf cams are proven, but your applications and needs could be better suited by a custom grind and they are the same price as off the shelf cams.

custom grind call a sponsor.

as for heads, id say go with the LS6s unless you got a killer deal on the 5.3s. they flow better and you can mill 'em down for compression for some good low end grunt (which you are going to want in a 55 chevy).

coil packs- ive seen a few times on here the 6.0 coils are great. 5.3s should work, so again, if you have a deal on them, go with it.

I would go w/ the 6.0 w/ just bolt-ons would be fine but the 5.3 will work also.

Somebody mentioned heat sinks. I honestly don't know what that is but I grabbed a set of 5.3 out of a 05 yukon. Good?
