Do 5.3 coil packs perform better than ls1 on an ls1?
Anyone?

No problem. Hope if you do it that they do make better power. I have seen cars that seem to react better to them and seen cars that really dont show a difference. I think it just depends on a car to car basis. But good luck.

Have you at all thought about the MSD coils? I know for sure they show gains as I have several buddies that have them on their cars and picked up a tenth in the quarter. They arnt cheap tho

Ya cheap is my problem. I'm not building car to race, just wanted to give ls1 a shot. My last 55's were all gen-1 so we shall see. What should I expect h/p wise w/241 heads and ls6 cam

If your planning on just doing a ls6 cam and 241 heads I would just stick to the 4l60e trans because the m21 will eat up some power.
I would think you would be in the ballpark of somewhere around 350 to the tires or so. If I were you I would look into getting atleast a 224/224 cam tho. Then you can be upwards of around 380 to 400rwhp.

Got it. I got an ls6 cam and springs w/0 miles from guy for 150, so I think I am going w/that. The rest of motor is stock ls1 but have Prof Prod intake.
