Default ignition q's

is my car supposed to ding with the key out the ignition when i open the door? my car won't let me lock it, is this because it thinks the key is still in the ignition for some reason? please help.

Only if your head light switch is on. Otherwise something could just be screwy in the switch itself.

also my car is a 98, i have the same steering wheel as my friends 95, is it supposed to be this way? is it hard to change the whole steering wheel?

Unless you had the Steering wheel with radio controls, it is right for it to have the same wheel as a 95. The newer design without the controls came in 2000 I believe.
