Default Any performance gains from these??

Would I see any real gains from these on a full bolt on 02 WS6?? Or are they a waste of money?

$300 can be better spent elsewhere.

Well money aside, being I have every bolt on possible and don't plan on heads and cam, one of these wouldn't even be worth another 5-10hp if I swapped one on?

if you don't already have one, that 300 would be better invested in a tune.

Hell if he ran that thing he would prolly need a tune anyway to get the MAF tables calibrated......

Don't know why you wouldn't want a cam and you're willing to spend $300 on 5hp. Not to mention that you would need a tune to make the most out of this. If you're already tuned it could possibly hurt power without a re tune. Even still you might not make 5rwhp.

I would personally look for a used cam and springs. You could get a smaller one for probably around $300. Even an LS6 cam would be worth 15-20hp. You can easily find those for $200-250 with springs and another $70 or so for a new LS2 timing chain. Virtually the same money for more guaranteed power. You'd still need a tune to make the most of it and it would take more work to install it but it's worth it.

If you are still running stock heads and cam, the engine is still breathing the same amount of air, regardless of your Boltons. Why would a bigger Straw matter??? I'd go with a cam for the money. 0hp gains for 300 or 15-20rhp gain for under 300 w cam change???? But it's Your money, bro.

If you are dead set on a maf get a 85mm truck/z06 maf and have it tuned. The stock maf is more than enough for a bolt on car, the only reason I swapped was mine took a ****. I was able to get a used truck maf cheaper then a reman stocker.

I bought the SLP one and added the SLP lid at the same time. I already had the K&N and full exhaust in sig. I really didn't feel anything, maybe a slightly quicker rev but honestly I should have spent the 200-300 somewhere else. It is kinda cool to compare the old mass air with the enlarged new one because it definitely look like it will do a-lot.

What they said

A bolt on only car would be lucky to get a 1hp gain from that thing.
