Noob here, just bought this motor. Was told it was from a 2006 chevy silverado. There is no casting #. How do i find out what year it is? I do have wiring with it as well. If it is a 2006, what years of transmissions will bolt up directly (and wire up directly)? Thanks for help or pointing me to right thread

There should be some kind of casting number somewhere on the block
