Default New LS1 TA Owner...Questions

Well after getting my IROC where i wanted it, i started looking for a 4th gen. Found this on here for pretty cheap but it needs some work which i don't mind!

It needs a new lid and lid base, gray dash pad, gray fuse door cover, passenger side mirror bolt cover, and some rims of course.

SO my questions start:

-Whats a good lid? I found a volant for sale and i kind of like them since they don't need that base.
-Are the 98-02 camaro and firebird dash pads the same? How bout the fuse door cover?
-I'd like some 4" front 10" rear rims...What brand and backspacing do i need so i don't have to grind the calipers?
-Is there a kit out there to get rid of the ABS box and extra plumbing? A line loc will be needed too.
-What are some of the first mods people are doing power wise? It's already got a circle d 4C stall, built 4l60e, flowmaster exhaust, and all the ac/heat/egr/air crap is gone. I'd like to keep it somewhat cheap and bolt on only as the engine has some piston slap to it.

I'm sure i'll have more questions...Thanks alot guys and girls

I don't care for the volant. I'd say get a standard lid, whatever the best price you can find, they all perform about the same. As fas as fitment, Blackwing will be the absolute best, but good luck finding one, and expect to pay 3 times what any other lid would cost. I've had great luck with SLP and Whisper brands. Either would be fine.

No, they are different. '98-'99 uses "Dark Gray", and '00-'02 uses "Ebony". The Ebony is a very dark charchol gray that is a few shades darker than the Dark Gray. GM began to discontinue certain "Dark Gray" parts for the '99 and earlier cars years back, so you may have to look for used if you want the color to be a perfect match. However, fitment between the years is the same, so an '02 pad or fuse door will fit a '98 and so forth.

I imagine any 4" front wheel would need some grinding or spacers and longer studs.

Looks like the A/C has been removed as well. Maybe the heater too? Does it have headers? That'd be a good next mod.

Yeah, I noticed that diamond plate back there.

Did you mention the year of the car?

Thanks for the info guys. It's a 98 body with a 99 motor trans ecm and wiring. The whole heater box and hvac is all gone

I think i found a lead on a dash pad and fuse door so the interior should look great again. It looks so damn bad without a dash pad lol. Anyone got an extra mirror cover?

I was trying to hold off on exhaust...got a 6.0 sitting in the shop just waiting for a large snail...

Anyone on the abs delete? I'm searching but my internet is terrible, took like 12 minutes to load those 3 pictures lol
