Default Headlights

When i turn my car on my headlights come on even with the switch off is it supposed to do that? When I move the switch to any of the other positions nothing happens but if the car is off and I move it they come on anybody know why?

The headlights in these cars are "auto on". So if you are parked in a dim area the lights come on automatically when you turn on the ignition. The switch allows you to turn on the lights if they are not already on. Hope this makes sense!

My car lights do that same thing. It is definitely because the lights are automatic. It can get frustrating because sometimes when you need them to come on they don't and vise versa. I do like my automatic setting though. It can be easy to forget to turn them off, so this feature is helpful for me. Read in your manual on how to work the automatic feature, it might give you some good tips.

Or if you pull the dash pad you can disconnect the sensor in the vent hole so you have manual control.
