Default First upgrades

Ok so i've got a dmh cutout and a tuner, now i need some really good basic ideas to get some hp. What are some other cheap ideas. I dont need a turbo and cam but mods in the area of airlids and underdrive pulleys, keep it really simple. Im just getting started so thanks for the help!

and lid and all the free mods could be a start. what's your budget? longtubes of course and exhaust will help depending on what your willing to do or can do.

That link pretty much sums it up. I've read that thing like 90 times and still can't decide if I want my car to be a straight line set up or a corner carving monster, depends on if I get a cheap beater I guess. Oh well, either way, this is a really good starting point.

I would say about $3000 for now. Are the cold air induction packages that SLP sells worth the money? And i need some help bc i get a free exhaust kit from one of my family members. How is the GMMG chambered exhaust with a CME style that doesnt sacrifice hp or torque right?

For 3k I would add long tubes and a Y pipe to the gmmg and your cut out. AND...

What transmision do you have M6 or a A4 ? Do you need emissions where you live ?

If it's an a4 torque converter will get you the most et drop and also it will be a noticeable difference! Otherwise lid headers ory(if you don't have to worry about emmisions). plugs wires(depending on mileage). And last but not least a dyno tune to get the absolute most out of your car.

A good budget build; if you happen to find used parts like a used UD pulley the total below will be even less, but this list is an excellent starting point. *Note: Add $100 if you upgrade from Painted Headers to Ceramic Coated. Recommended for humid areas*

This build should be good for strong low 12's and maybe even 11.8's to 11.9's at sea level on a good day.

$200 Underdrive Pulley
$200 Fast Toys Ram Air
$90 Lid
$65 Ported Throttle Body (by one of the sponsers on this site)
$300 LS6 Intake Shipped (classifieds on LS1tech)
$478 Pacesetter Painted Headers Shipped (with spark plugs, plug and play 02 extensions, off road y-pipe and all necessary hardware for install)
$37 Manual Cut out
$125 Mail Order Tune by LS1tech sponser "Frost"
$725 3200-3600 Stall Convertor
$80 Pair of Pick and pull 4th Gen wheels for Drag Radials
$400 Pair of Mickey Thompson or Hoosier Drag Radials
$270 3.73 Ring and Pinion with complete install kit
$2,970 Total

most bang for buck would be headers and rear end gears

texas Speed sells ceramic coated headers and off road Y pipe for a little over $500. Well worth the extra $ IMO.
