5.0 Killer

Can someone please post a list of what heads are 241's, 243's etc....I always see them posted on the classifieds and I'm not sure which ones came off what engines exactly.....I was thinking of picking up a stock set of LS1 heads cheap and having them PP.....Anyone have suggestions for the best ones to look for?

241 853 806 are LS1 heads,
862 706 are 5.3 heads
317's are 6.0 truck heads
243's are LS6 and LS2 heads

I would get aftermarket heads, for the price your gonna pay for PP it would cost you for aftermarket heads. check the local sponsors on here and see what they have to offer. I got cnc LS6 heads for $1200. they flow alot better then stock ls6 heads. plus I got bigger then stock intk/exhst valves, smaller chamber for increase combustion.... .02

U can get a set of used 243 heads for $500 which is a lot cheaper than a new set for $1200.There is a guy selling a set for $450 on here right now.

^^^ agree. Dont waist your money on Patriot 243's when you can get a nice used set for around $500

799's are the same casting as a 243.....

243's with a P&P job would be a good bang for the Buck.

Next step up would be a nice used set of Darts.
