Default L33 vs LS1 weight

I have been doing a lot of research on building up a LS motor. Upon one topic someone mentioned the L33 block weighing 65# more than the LS1 block. Is this correct? When they seem almost identical that seems like a lot of weight in aluminum. thanks

That can't be right, they should be about the same. The Iron block is substantially more than the LS1, but the L33 is aluminum just like the LS1

Maybe for the cast iron.

I can't see two aluminum blocks weighing much different.
