Default 98-02 v6 body questions

Three body questions - If I can find a Trans Am to take parts from:
Are the ram-air hood, the front bumper, and the trunk, bolt-on? Will they fit flush without modifying them?

Also, is there anything that I should know about the 98-02 years of the V6? I.E., I've heard at least on the v8, they started using LSD in 2000. I've also heard they deleted the EGR in 01.

All body parts are interchangeable. They WILL require fitting and adjusting even if it's all OEM.

Try a V6 forum, you'll have alot better help there.

"They WILL require fitting and adjusting even if it's all OEM."

My knowledge is limited, excuse me: Do you mean such as with a door hinge, where it has to be moved to aligned correctly - or do you mean shaping / resizing / drilling, etc.?

Yes moved to be aligned correctly is what I mean. Seems like common sense to me lol

So are you planning on making a V6 firebird look like a Trans Am?

That's the goal. I have to sell the Sunfire I have now, then save up for a t-top v6 bird.

My opinion, sell the sunfire, and save up for a decent t-top formula/trans am

much more enjoyable in the long run

The initial difference is huge, Rhauwen. But possibly more important, the insurance is too high, too.

You need to shop around then, insurance shouldn't be much more expensive (from what Ive seen at least).
And why pay all that money for a car that still isnt quick? Spend a few extra grand and at least pick up a nice LT1 if you can't afford and LS1.

Its not that high from V6 to V8 as one would think, ask for a quote and as said before, shop around, till you can compare the rates.

Or buy a LS1 swapped V6 f body. They seem to pop up occasionaly in the classifieds.
