A few LS 6 Intake Swap Questions??
I am thinking about swapping the intake on my 98 Camaro to one from an LS6.
Do I use my old fuel rails, intake bolts, etc..... or do I need to buy new?
Also I read with the LS6 intake I lose my EGR - so my SES light will be on, I read that it can be "programed out" - How is this done? Is special programing needed? What is the cost?

yeah use all ur old stuff. the fuel injectors are bigger in the 98s. the intake bolts are the same. ur gunna need the gaskets tho if urs are in bad shape. mine came with new gaskets. the gaskets on my stock one were so flat i couldnt even get em out lol.
You will need to chisel the underneath of the ls6 intake mani to clear the coolant lines. there is a write up and a picture somewhere on here. just do a search on here and google.
yes you will get a light. just leave it alone and once u have some more mods go take it and have it tuned. or do a mail in by frost.

Everything swaps over... but I would buy new gaskets.
Here is a nice video write up in case u need to know how to do it:

After you disable the code you will pass in Illinois any lsx shop can do it for you but I would wait and have it done at the same time as a tune to save money so If you don't have headers I would do that first and get it all tuned at the same time
