Default Best bet for rear end upgrade??

What is my best bet for swaping the rear end out of my 2000 ss for something that will handle 500+ rwhp? 9", 12 bolt?? What would be a direct bolt in?

Thanks for the help

I hear twelve bolt is fine for a4s, and the 9 inch is a popular choice for the m6 cars. In the end they are all an upgrade to the stock 10 bolt that's for sure. I know Moser or Strange are both popular choices around here. Maybe someone with some more direct or different experiences can chime in?

Same way I understand it.

But than again, If you're an a4, there are guys in the 10's with the stock 10-bolt still holding up. So unless your gears are whining or grinding. I'd leave em til they let go.

just call/email the guys @ strange. They'll give you all the info u need for a 12-bolt with abs/tcs, etc. Then you'll know what you need so you can hawk the classified section and probably pick up a nice used one btw $1200-$1800

If you got some coin to spend get a new MWC fab 9"
Lighter than a 10 bolt, Strong, 3 channel, and direct bolt in
if not just buy a 12 bolt from classifieds.
