Default Question about wiring...

I cut all of the wires out of the engine bay that I did not need. I cut them from the firewall all the way to the computer. I have cut out ABS, HVAC, foglights, windshield wipers, AIR/EGR, cruise, and some others I cant remember. I am wondering if this will cause a big problem since some things run off of others?

You probably should have asked this question before you starting cutting.

^^^^x1. I don't see why would u do that when u can just put them aside. More then Likely ur going 2 need a new one. Either u can have a short somewhere or high resistance somewhere.

Wow. Ok well - it probably won't cause big problems. It may cause small problems. I'm sure you will get codes thrown at you, and depending on what wires you cut, the engine may act funny.

Just get good wiring diagrams and label the wires as you're identifying. If you've cut something you shouldn't have cut, no big deal, just get some more wire of the same gauge and solder it on to lengthen it, and make sure it goes to where it's supposed to go.

I thought cutting the wires may be a waste of time at first, but I didnt think it through enough to think about problems with other wiring running into it. I have the GM book specifically for our cars with every wire diagram and everything so I refferenced that.
