Default 99 SS. Do I have SLP Y pipe on my car?

How can you tell? Is there a code for the upgrade exhaust system?

Thanks,

Sid.

Post a pic. It will be pretty easy to tell. The factory Y-pipe is flat.

The only exhaust upgrade from SLP is the cat back. The SLP y-pipe is aftermarket.

Exactly.

If you do have an upgraded Y-pipe, somebody did that aftermarket. It was not an SLP option, and thus there is no code* for it.

*SLP options were under the "Y2Y" RPO and then listed on a supplimental window and door sticker.

So if i have Y2Y code does that mean I have dual dual exhaust too or all SS came with dual dual exhaust?

No not all SS have D/D unless it was a SLP option.

Not necessarily. Like the guys said above, you'd have to check the supplimental sticker (or look at the exhaust system, though it's always possible someone changed the exhaust at some point).

The Y2Y RPO only means that your car came with *some* SLP options. It's not specific to one particular option.

All SSs came with an upgraded muffler and tail pipes (dual 2.5" outlets rather than the 2.25" on the Z28), but SLP dual/dual catback was NOT standard. It would have been an option above and beyond the basic "SS" package.
