Longest Stroke and Rod length in LS1...
I appologize if this has been answered before... I did search and wasn't able to find anything...
But I'm going to be buying a LS1 engine that spun a rod bearing (crank is scored so gonna replace it)... my question is what is the longest stroke and rod combo you can go with safely? I don't know the LS motors very well and don't wanna order a $900 crank + whatever the rods will cost me just to get a combo that won't work for me. It's a stock 5.7L right now, and I know changing the crank and rods out would increase displacement (which is fine lol) I just don't want to go to far and have clearance issues.
Thanks

Ok let me clarify... I'm not looking to bore the block, and I know how to make a 383 outta a 350. I'm just looking to find out what longest stroke crank (i.e. 3.622, 3.900, 4.000, 4.100, 4.125 stroke) and the longest length connecting rod (i.e. 6.1, 6.123, 6.125) combo I can use without having clearance issues (i.e. not have the pistons smack the cylinder heads, crank, etc...)
