Default camshaft sensor and computer chip

where is a cam sensor and computer chip located on a 99 ls1?

There is no computer chip in these cars. They have to be tune inside the computer w/ a hand-held tuner or laptop.

The cam sensor in a Gen III motor is the back, top of the block by the oil pressure sensor. On a Gen IV block it is in the front timing cover.

How about the crank sesnor. I got the car from a guy who was planning on putting a diff block in. He had it torn down to the block. I put the top end and everything bac@k on and it just won't. Crank over. Its got a aftermarket fuelsystem from magnafuel. Its running and getting pressure the car just won't start just keeps cranking. It started for a second once and just went back to cranking.

The crank sensor is on the passenger side of the block toward the rear just above the oil pan.
