Default shift points

I am getting a stall converter and was wondering about the shift points...How much from stock should i change them to get the most out of my car..I will have full exhaust, 3.73 gears, lid,and maybe a tci 3400 stall...The car is a DD and will be at the track maybe 3-4 times...also my wife drives it as well...

Thanks

I think the general rule is that factory shift points are fine unless you have a cam and springs that support higher RPMs. The stock power curve peaks around 5400rpm so it's really kind of pointless to go over the 6200 factory limit. For example, my cammed car peaks around 6200 so I shift around 6600 and the rev limiter is set at 6800.
