Default Intake?

Just bought a 2000 TA so im guessing it has the LS1 intake and in 2001 they switched to LS6 intake, so how much of a difference are between those intakes if any Thanks

if thats youre only mod you probably wont feel anymore power but its still a good upgrade.

you will feel a little bit of an increase in power, but nothing crazy. the big reason for doing it is building upon other modifications. once you get headers, cam, etc. itll be nice to be able to feed more air through the engine.

10 hp ,if you find one for a good price $300 or less get it.

More like 5hp. You won't notice any real gain on a completely stock engine.

With a cam or heads/cam though, it's a very worth while upgrade.

Will the LS6 flow Good enough for a good set of heads or are there work (porting) that would have to be done?

There are aftermarket intakes that will flow better, but the LS6 can definitely support most street heads/cam packages without holding back too much power.

It's worth the swap. A local friend of mine has one for sale along with a ported TB if you are interested.
