Default Cost of longtube header installation

Hello.. I was just wondering how much it would cost to install longtube headers on my t/a I live in ca. So I'll have to remove them every 2 yrs

More. I was estimated at 500 to install shorties on my v6 and I had already installed one and loosened the bolts on the other. ******* rip off. I finished the job myself

I would figure you could get it done for $300 or so. You might check on LS1howto.com. I think they have a write up on a header install. If you have basic hand tools and a floor jack w/ jack stands, you can do it yourself.

It would be cheaper to find a place in your area that does smogs for "cars like yours" where you pay $75 or something instead of paying hundreds of dollars to have your headers removed and reinstalled.

is that what they are racing over there... F body's?lol i was thinking more turbo'd 4 bangers. Im getting my LT's LS6 and a dyno tune done for 800 in fresno, if that helps any.

Just do it yourself. Nothing like a good learning experience, and headers are too mechanically involved for a first time getting your hands dirty.

Yeah getting the quote was a waste of time I coulda spent installing the headers. I was in a rush because my senior prom was that night and my car on open manifolds was ridiculously loud. I kept getting asked if I had true duals. Since I didnt finish them that day, I went to prom with a ridiculously loud Firebird and about 10 MPG D
