Default Stock LS6 intake and 90mm throttle body?

I bought this trans am back in august 2010. The previous owner said it had a LS6 intake manifold and a 90mm throttle body but I don't know if its possible to pare the two, sorry for the lack of knowledge but I'm here to learn.
The ls6 manifold appears to be stock with no inlet modification. There is a TB spacer and the throttle body doesn't look like a stock ls1 or ls6 throttle body. I try sending him texts asking but he doesn't reply.

Any input is appreciated, just curious if it does have a 90mm throttle body or not. Should I try measuring it?

oh and dont pay attention to my pcv valve jerry rig, it works fine lol

It's probably some kind of conversion spacer or something. the TB may have a 90mm inlet but it still has to go into a 75mm inlet on the intake unless they went in and opened it up. Take all the induction off of it and look at it. That will give you a better idea on what you have. I don't recognize the TB to see what brand it is.

I don't know of any 90mm 3 bolt TB.he probably ment 90mm out side dia. it mite be a 80/85 mm tb.but like stated above the intake will be the bottle nick at 78mm ,unless it was ported some.

i took off the lid and them maf, the TB seems larger, like a 90mm and when i open the throttle to see the spacer, the spacer is not falt it is curved, like you said it could be a conversion. the inlet from the intake is stock and the TB spacer opens more to fit the TB opening. so i guess it is a 90mm with a spacer that goes from 90mm at the throttle body to 78mm at the intake.

is there any benifit there? or is it something i should (in the future) have the inlet changed to a 90mm to fit the TB without a spacer?

Really not much benefit except you already have a 90mm TB if you decide to upgrade to a 90mm manifold.

you could get a alum. intake like a 3 bolt BBK and port the opening to match the TB .I don't think you can port a fast 78 3 bolt intake out to 90mm.most 90mm + intakes are 4 bolt design.measure the TB before you buy or sell anything.

That doesn't work because a 90mm manifold would require a 4 bolt tb, this is a 3 bolt tb.

The guy he bought if from probably meant 80mm.

Yeah you will probably still have to get another TB when you swap intakes. FAST is a 4-bolt. However, you might be able to use it if the bottom two bolts and the very top-center bolt on a 90mm intake line up. You might double check and see if that is the case.

Yeah thats what i figured i would do, just sell the manifold and TB together, is there a big benifit to a fast 90/90 intake and TB. compared to what i currently have.
