lq4 desired compression
Hello, I have a 86 iroc and am building a 6.0 lq4 to swap in. My goal is to hit 10's NA, car weights 3200 with me in it but I had a question regarding compression.
How deep should I mill my heads and what gasket to use?? I want to get 10.8:1-11:1. Am running ported 799 heads and MS4 cam, don't want to have PTV clearance issues. Spring valves are stock, block deck is stock.
Thanks.

I would be pretty wary of milling the heads very far at all with that cam. I know the LQ4 has a dished piston but the edge of the piston still comes up and I think if you mill the heads a lot you will have clearance issues. You will be at 10.3:1 compression with the stock chamber in the 799s.

oh, 10.3:1 aint too far of what am looking for. Should I just get a thinner head gasket? or mill .010? What's a good compression for the MS4 cam? thanks for the help.
